Join us as 250+ kids at Our Tampines Hub created beautiful bookmarks across 4 unique weeks, from plantable seed paper to laminated flowers and origami designs. A fun event celebrating creativity and sustainability.

The Workshop

Four Weeks of Creativity

Every craft is thoughtfully made with a commitment to sustainability and care for the environment. Over four weeks at Our Tampines Hub, we guided 50+ kids through an eco-friendly bookmark-making journey, teaching them essential techniques while showcasing the beauty of sustainable materials.

We kicked off the workshop combining plantable seed papers and recycled coffee pulp paper to create kid-designed bookmarks. Kids loved learning that their bookmarks could be planted after use! Each design featured vibrant animals and characters that kids created themselves.

Week 2

Laminated Flowers

Week 2 transformed the workshop into a botanical studio. We combined real and pressed flowers with eco-friendly laminating sheets to create delicate, beautiful bookmarks. Parents and kids were amazed at how easily the laminating technique brought the flowers to lifeβ€”and how many came back specifically for this week!

Our final week featured customised kueh-themed bookmarks using colored paper made from recycled coffee pulps. With adorable kueh illustrations and matching sticker sets, kids created delightful designs that celebrated Singapore's beloved local treats. Coffee grounds and pulp were upcycled into beautiful, functional bookmarks!
